1. If you are bringing a car to the hotel you'll have to budget on valet parking with a 20-25 min delivery time (book your car collection time to avoid this).

2. Prior to booking the hotel, I read a lot about it, so I was aware that there was no air conditioning and to request a room at the back of the hotel, to avoid the noise of Powell Street.

5. :) I would definitely recommend either requesting a room high up (to avoid noise) or a room to the back of the hotel which was much quieter.

7. A few blocks of walking brings you into contact the San Francisco's many homeless and you either need to steel yourself and avoid eye contact or drop a dollar or so and walk on.

10. - Because of the lack of AC, the bathroom window needs to be opened regularly to avoid getting mold spots on the mirror and walls.
