My only complaint was the noise from nearby
construction
that came through our open window at night, but that was no fault of the hotel.

We were staying in another hotel that was WAY out of the way and not currently on the train route, due to
construction

I wonder if the '
construction
noise' someone mentioned was actually the cable system for the street cars which run right past.

No sound insulation so you will experience the traffic (and
construction
) noise throughout the night.

It was hard for us to get to the hotel by car - traffic,
construction
, delivery trucks, one-way streets - had us going in circles for an hour trying to get parked in front of the hotel to get checked in.

Generally speaking, we did not spend much time in the room and at night the
construction
was finished.

The only complaint I have, which is not the hotel's fault ,was there is
construction
going on on Powell St so if you want your windows open, it is all you hear.

Bathroom is small, representative of the early 20th Century
construction
era but squeeky clean, with snow white towels, and one gets to keep the rubber ducky.
