3. Hey this is an old buiding so there are going to be some cosmetic issues like a lifting of some seams in the bathroom wallpaper, or the worn wooden floor in the lobby or the wonderfully creepy tilted shades on the many lights in the floor hallways or the tiny elevators.

6. Want to pay $105 a night for a large room with a king bed and a firm mattress with soft linens, nice towels, cushy bathrobe, clean everything, plus a friendly front desk staff and the best possible location adjoining the Magnificent Mile, or would you rather cross the street and check into the Four Seasons for four times as much? My furniture wasn't old and peeling, it was made of real wood instead of formica and nicely worn in, definitely not worn out.
