4. One person in particular at check in was very rude; when we finally were able to check in to our room we found a pay of dirty underwear on the floor beside the bed, and a dirty hand towel (toothpaste on it) still hanging in the bathroom.

5. I read about complaints of musty smells, dirty sheets, dirty bathrooms, rude staff, bad elevators, bad water pressure; the list seemed endless.

6. The staff (minus the RUDE front desk clerk, who later wrote us an apology and slid it under our door, ( I'm sure at his manager's urging).

But the only incident which we as a family did not appreciate was that, after getting help from the concierge in getting a cab enroute to the airport to NYC, and loading our bags into the van, and ALTHOUGH we tipped the concierge manager (thinking he would share the tip with the doorman who helped with the bags), the doorman was incredibly rude to us and made a big fuss about not tipping him.

8. He persistently answered the phone whilst we tried to sort it out, which as a Brit, I find extremely rude as he should be dealing with one query at a time.

10. I am quite sure that once we get there we will have no room and they will rudely attempt to shuffle us off to another hotel, as they have done to other guests.
