6. I'd read reviews and seen pictures of the Eastgate here so I wasn't expecting anything terribly new, but this hotel is in FAR worse shape than the reviews I saw would indicate.

7. The terrible smell was most likely due to age, and from previous water damage, of which there was evidence on both the furniture and base boards.
