It is in severe need of renovation - the shabby industrial carpeting had a trimming of decades worth of dirt and dust at the floorboards, the furniture is cheap and shabby, and there was
mold
growing on the ceiling above the shower.

mold
and chemical smells and seemed to do fine at this hotel, although it certainly is far from new.

It was about what I expected -- a little more shabby/run-down than other Affinia properties, but in the same
mold
as the Surrey: spacious room, full galley-style kitchen, and clean but somewhat dated-looking furnishings and decor.
"Not up to Affinia standards, but not bad for NYC "
