1. It is located next to a loud elevator that one can hear through the wall, even the ping of the bell.

2. Have Americans gotten so lazy/fat a 5 min walk is worth bashing a hotel over? In our particular building (3), we had no problems with the shower, furnishings, or loud neighbors.

3. We checked out the Westin down the beach twice and it always appeared loud, crowded and crammed in, although it as well was a nice looking proprty with a much more extravagant pool layout (if a little busy).

7. 2) It would be polite to inform guests that the pool will be under construction during their stay and maybe don't start the loud jackhammering until after 10am.

8. When I was reminded that the other pool was still open (the kids pool) and I clearly communicated my dissatisfaction as I didn't want to be at a pool with kids who are loud (kids scream while in the pool) and offer a less than peaceful pool experience, I was told a guest manager would call me.
