expensive
but I had heard that Mandarin Oriental really understood luxury so I felt sure that they would make the splurge worthwhile.

While the hotel is clean and comfortable, it's really
expensive
without being luxurious so I probably won't stay there again.

(thanks to
expens
e-account travel and lobbying dollars), the hotel provided fair value, overall (the grand painting of the empress and the flying monkeys above our own 'Forbidden City' is almost worth the price of a room).

My only complaint was the prices-I recognize that I was there during the peak of the Cherry Blossom festival, but I found the food and room rate quite
expensive
.

It's certainly
expensive
and not how I usually live, which perhaps made me appreciate it all the more.

And then dinner was horrid, not only was the food bad but they kept pouring tap water into my
expensive
sparkling water.

sparse compared to them, but the thing I love about it is that despite the grand lobby and
expensive
bar and posh spa, the staff are totally down-to-earth.

In these times of cutbacks and cost reductions it's a pleasure to stay in a hotel that spares not

My advise for on staying at this
expensive
overrated hotel is to go to one of the many fine hotels in the DC area and save your money it is not worth it.
