1. expensive but I had heard that Mandarin Oriental really understood luxury so I felt sure that they would make the splurge worthwhile.

2. While the hotel is clean and comfortable, it's really expensive without being luxurious so I probably won't stay there again.

3. (thanks to expense-account travel and lobbying dollars), the hotel provided fair value, overall (the grand painting of the empress and the flying monkeys above our own 'Forbidden City' is almost worth the price of a room).

4. My only complaint was the prices-I recognize that I was there during the peak of the Cherry Blossom festival, but I found the food and room rate quite expensive.

9. My advise for on staying at this expensive overrated hotel is to go to one of the many fine hotels in the DC area and save your money it is not worth it.
