1. And then dinner was horrid, not only was the food bad but they kept pouring tap water into my expensive sparkling water.

This is not a bad thing for the following reasons:- quiet location, especially on weekends, doesn't feel like a typical downtown/city hotel- minutes (metro or taxi) from Capitol Hill, restaurants, and shops- easy walk to the Mall and Smithsonian museums - one of the closest hotels, in factROOMS: I've stayed in a standard room and a Tai Pan 'club level' room.

4. I was lucky enough to stay for a wedding and got the wedding rate - not sure how exorbitant it might be otherwise, but for a splurge, and the impeccable service and sundries that go along with it, it's not a bad deal.
