The views - when faced toward
downtown
Houston are nice.

Loud live music band is fine if you're a bar
downtown
, but you don't expect or desire it for a hotel like this.

We certainly liked the location, as we were only 10-15 minutes from pretty much everywhere we ended up going around the city to see our various friends, including shopping at the nearby Galleria, a fantastic dinner at nearby America's, and another nice dinner
downtown
.

If there is a knock on the hotel, it's not that handy to
downtown
, but it is close to the Galleria and not too far from the energy corridor.

In year's past, there have been rumors of a Ritz Carlton coming to
downtown
Houston, but that has not happened.

The Four Seasons
downtown
was built at a time when bathrooms were small and ceilings were low, so no matter what they try to do to update the property, it just does not work.

Location is convenient to all central Houston areas: e.g.,
Downtown
, Galleria, Montrose and Museum District either through streets or even more rapidly, through nearby freeway.

The staff is excellent and knowledgeable about directions, the Houston scene, etc. Our room this time did face the railroad tracks, but the noise was negligible and, except for the railroad tracks, we enjoyed the view toward
downtown
Houston.
