1. The hotel is in a gorgeous, safe neighborhood within walking distance of the shops and restaurants on Union St.

2. It's a nice neighborhood to walk through and look at the architecture and gardens, and the hotel was within walking distance to Fillmore Street, which has some great little restaurants and an eclectic variety of shops.

3. The hotel has beautiful rooms overlooking the city and is walking distance (albeit up the steep SF hills(!) to great restaurants) but staff are more than happy to organise taxis for trips into town.

7. We love getting a local feel for the area such as restaurants, parks, etc.The staff at Hotel Drisco was very helpful, gave us tips on restaurants,walks, things to do in the area, that were just perfect for my husband and me.
