2. The parking was free which was much better than the $48 per night we paid at another hotel a few nights later, but it does come with a bit of car juggling, if you plan on parking it for the day.

My husband and I drove to the city in our own car, and were delighted to find that parking was free, easy, plentiful and safe on side streets very near or adjacent to the hotel -- certainly a rare amenity in San Francisco!(We were there for a long weekend; make sure you check the city parking rules for weekdays when you will have to move your car.
