8. Upon check in, I asked if there were any complementary upgrades available, to which the front desk said no, however, if we wanted to upgrade to a suite during our stay it would be a nominal fee.

9. The decor and the service at check-in are soothing and efficient; the rooms are ultra-deluxe with any amenity you could wish for: robe, slippers, mini-bar, L'Occitane toiletries, the list goes on and on.

10. My husband had informed the hotel at the time of booking that it was my birthday and I was greeted with a 'happy birthday' at check in and discovered a fabulous dessert and personal message when we arrived in our room.
