1. All in all, the W was a worthwhile stay if you don't mind occasional street noise.

3. Otherwise, it's a nice place to have an expensive cocktail (although I prefer to go across the street to the Bull and Bear at the Waldorf Astoria for that drink).
"Great Location " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/27/2012 Vote
4. The atmosphere in the lobby can be fun, but the rooms are QUIET - you don't even get much street noise.
"Just right " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/13/2012 Vote
5. Affinia hotels are much better for families but this was a last minute stay and we had to go so I booked this through Priceline for $175.00/nt per room, not bad for NYC standards but I think the rooms across the street at the Waldorf would have been a better bet.

7. I was staying at the 15th floor so there wasn't noise from the street, and the sommier was awesome so the sleep quality was excellent.

8. I know it was a Miracle on 34th Street, but our holiday stay can be best described as a Miracle on 49th street.
"The ultimate New York holiday experience " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/6/2011 Vote
9. The staff was VERY busy, a hustle and bustle place with a nice lounge/bar at street level.
"Had both good and bad qualities " Read full review on TripAdvisor   11/24/2010 Vote
10. Add to all that such a great location that is within a short walk of a multitude of subway lines (including those that service Grand Central Station just a few blocks down the street) and a reasonably short walk to the theater district, the W New York is definitely a winner.
"Small room, but good service, great location & a chic hotel " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/11/2010 Vote
