1. For the price, I was shocked there was not complimentary wi-fi, and the rooms, though nicely decorated, had a very open bathroom configuration which wasn't very comfortable when sharing a room.

3. Clearly, no one was talking to each other, the manager seemed to care less about what was going on, and even the police seemed shocked at the hotel's reaction.

4. Had the hotel responded appropriately (or even politely) we could have salvaged what remained of our stay and even left with a more positive impression of the service, but the utter indifference of the response was so shocking that it caused us to cut short our stay.
