Despite charging a hefty premium compared to other hotels, the Westin Oaks is old and worn out:1) The rooms need refurbishing, bits missing etc2) No safes in the rooms3) The rooms seem very spartan4) The whole place has a dated feel to it5) poor security - bad especially as it is connected to the GalleriaI recommend saving money and staying in a better hotel.

9. We have started to stay at other hotels and put up with the inconvenience due to the current room conditions ie stained carpet, mold on the ceiling and poor drainage of the plumbing etc.
