1. We also had a room that was right by the elevator, another noise concern, we could always hear people talking by the elevator lobby.

2. I would however recommend trying to get a room that faces the back of the hotel rather than the front, as the noise from the busy street was often louder than we hoped.

5. We were on the 17th floor and there was no traffic noise other than an occasional emergency vehicle.

The Westin Galleria, the sister property on the other side of The Galleria where I've stayed the last two trips, doesn't front Westheimer and therefore doesn't offer an unbelievable amount of road noise coming through the windows, especially from the high number of racing bikes racing down Westheimer.

8. 50 each (had to read little tag), heard noise from street all night, our view was of the buildings across the street (none of the Houston vistas that they show on website), did not refill coffee pkgs second day, internet usage had fee, and it is not wi-fi (had to buy an ethernet cable in mall).

9. ice machines and noise, again perfect nice and large, with 2 queen beds even though I wanted a king( they were out of them).

10. The only problems were that the cell phone reception was not good at all in the rooms (AT&T), the walls are pretty thin, so noise carries easily, and the bathrooms could be a little more spacious for the price.
