2. This is a MOD hotel but can be really pricey particularly when there's some event going on in the city.

3. If I were to really reach for a negative I would say as much as the breakfast was good, I think it was a bit pricey and as far as the noise from street level went, after all, it is New York City, the city that never sleeps, so the noise was to be expected.

As the hotel is directly opposite the Bus terminal, it can be a bit noisy if your room faces the street as ours did but this proximity proved a bonus - we needed to be at Newark airport for 6 am and the hotel told us that booking a shuttle for early morning could be a bit unreliable if time critical as could taxis - they offered a booked private car for $89 - we thought this seemed bit pricey and decided to chance the 5am direct bus from the terminal- it arrived very promptly and cost $15 each (the direct shuttle bus runs at between 15 and 30 min intervals during the day though not after about 1.
