Our only tiny complaint would be that the minibar snacks and drinks are very
overpriced
but being a NYC hotel i feel this is to be expected.

The staff are friendly and professional and the restaurant for dinner is pleasant (although one quibble is that the food is
overpriced
for what it is, there is better quality/value to be had in many other places in New York).

During the last 30 years I stayed in various NY hotels, most of the times
overpriced
and not very clean.

After 25 years of traveling to NYC, I always tried to avoid this area, as frankly most hotels there have rude, incompetent stuff and the hotels are either rat holes or tourist traps:
overpriced
and under-maintained.

They went out of their way to be friendly, helpful and courteous unlike the pretentious and surly staff at the
overpriced
Sheraton Towers on 7th and 53rd which we stayed for two nights prior to our stay at Staybridge.
