1. Older people (tourists and a lot of French people, given the Accor ownership) everywhere; nothing wrong with that of course, but hip this hotel is decidedly not.

4. After searching for weeks on the internet for a New York hotel I gave up; the amount of choice and trying to compare reviews had my head spinning, I just didn't want to get it wrong (stayed at the New Yorker last time but didn't want to go back, was OK but basic with tiny room).

5. If you want the tourists attractions of broadway, times square within midtown manhattan WEST you cant go wrong.

9. Good things: Nice L'occitane bathroom amenities, staff very friendly and collaborative (once I got the wrong salmon from room service and they sent me chocolates).

10. Originally booked via the Accor iphone app - would not recommend this as it was a really bad experience - and after receiving no help from Accor Customer Service when the booking went wrong, the hotel themselves were ridiculously helpful and sorted all the issues out.
