5. unfortunately, beyond the great service and beautiful lobby of the Sofitel on West 44th in Manhattan, this particular Sofitel is about as special as a descent motel off the interstate in your town.

8. My mother and I chose to stay at the Sofitel for three nights of our NY vacation after reading the stellar reviews here (we would have selected to stay here our entire trip, but unfortunately weekday rates are about $100 more than the weekend ones).
