1. The draperies were old looking and there were stains on the furniture and carpet.

2. Other than the person who turned me away when I tried to do an early check-in and the the person who offered no apologies when I called about the blood stain on my comforter, all of the other front desk people were pleasant to deal with.

3. Had it not been for the fact that I spent the first night sleeping underneath a blood stain and had been coldly denied the early check-in I had been promised, I would have been really happy with my stay.

5. I will say that housekeeping showed up right away and apologized but I was expecting more from the front desk / management because sleeping underneath a GIANT BLOOD STAIN is beyond unacceptable at a hotel like this, or any hotel for that matter.

6. After sleeping in the bed, under the comforter - there's no flat sheet underneath the comforter which I think is kind of gross - I FLIPPPED BACK THE COMFORTER AND THERE WAS A MASSIVE BLOOD STAIN UNDERNEATH THE COMFORTER.

8. This wasn't a tiny blood stain, it was bigger than the size of a baseball and I can't believe it wasn't noticed by housekeeping.

10. The -1 is due, yes, to little things: the dreaded 'green stuff' on metal fixtures/features in the bathroom; small stains--that, I could see, had not come out in the wash--on the comforter; unusual (not bad, just unusual) smell to the room.
