1. A downside of being on the hill is the way down to the room and back.
"Luxury up the hill " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/19/2012 Vote
2. The one downside was that there was a wedding party staying there and they took over the lawn in front of our room one afternoon as we were trying to watch a quiet sunset, however the group was loud and playing a rowdy game of bocce.

8. The only downside I could possibly find would be that it's a short drive from the nearest town and it's not on the beach but secluded in the hills (Although my wife and I prefered that very much to the crowded beach resorts) All in all the Hotel Wailea comes with the highest reccomendation from me and serves as a great base to plan all of your adventures on Maui.
"Perfect Stay! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/20/2010 Vote
9. However as we discovered it has changed ownership/management on a few occasions and its only but 'critical' downside is it does not (at present) offer any food or drink provisions during the day, so if your by the poolside you will have to take the free shuttle service provided to get in your provisions from the local shops.
"Beautifully intimate with BUT no food or drink provisions!?!? " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/22/2010 Vote
10. The only downside is that it was not on the beach.
