We started with a regular hotel room, which was in pretty shabby condition: one of the worst mattresses I've ever slept on, corroded window frames, extremely noise AC, carpet that came out of a 70's sitcom, lots of noise from equipment outside the room (oddly, the bathroom had clearly been remodeled sometime this century and was in very good condition).
