1. The hotel personnel were Aloha friendly except for the "beach boys" who were rude and unhelpful in dispensing unbrellas and towels.

2. For those complaining of aloof, indifferent, or rude staff, I would simply ask: how did you treat those same people? For those complaining of dated decor, I have to know: when was the last time your own home was redecorated? And for those complaining about the expense, I would say you didn't do your homework -- there are many ways to reduce the cost of your stay at the Hapuna, like enjoying some of the very good local restaurants.

7. i ran into one difficult/rude person at the pool counter and so i asked if i could speak to the manager and he said he was the manager-- big help there.

9. All in all, this hotel is not worth the money, even at the discounted rates we paid, and the rude interaction with the front desk and management almost ruined the trip for us.

10. We complained and asked to be moved but were refused, first by the front desk clerk and then by the beyond-rude manager Wesley who told us that if we didn't like it, take it up with Expedia because he wasn't going to do anything to help.
