1. When the patio table was wiped, there was a good layer of dirt on the cloth, suggesting that the table had not been cleaned for a while.

2. Everything was so clean and looked new, the hallways are all open air but no dirt or trash/leaves to be found anywhere.
"Beautiful- quiet hotel. Great for honeymooners or babymooners! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/24/2009 Vote
3. Pros- Quiet, Not very crowded, economic (all rooms have balconies facing the ocean, some less than others but none face the parking lot- this may be important if you are getting this hotel via a discount website where you are worried that you may be shafted with a room facing the parking/hills), the room rate includes free parking and valet (marriot/hilton/etc, they all charge 15$ or more daily for parking), One of the best beaches rated in the world, Snorkling at the hotel beach or next door at Mauna Kea, both rated highly by local tour books (other than Captain Cook), if you re not into disney type fun (you should probably go to the hilton or marriot down the highway), or rowdy and dirt cheap environment (you should probably book something on the Kona side), and looking for some quiet, peaceful R&R then this is for you.

4. We got lost out on the 130 and ended up on a dirt road that went through more rain forest and along the shore south of Hilo, but oh my heck, THAT was fantastic.
"Best beach, gorgeous grounds, superb service " Read full review on TripAdvisor   11/6/2008 Vote
5. The planter had no shrubbery but wires for the watering system and dirt.
"Lovely beach at the Hapuna " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/15/2008 Vote
6. If you have little kids, take them down the steps on the dirt path just north of the ping pong table to a little cove with shallow, calm water.
"Can't lose with Hawaii's best beach below you. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/14/2006 Vote
