Lots of families, couples, doctors at a big convention, all ages, everyone was friendly, happy and having a good time --- The only negative feelings we got were: 1) the restaurants/bars in the hotel are super expensive - but we were happy getting sandwiches at the cafe or in Kawaihae (two miles north) and eating on the beach or on our deck.
