Yes, poolside drinks are outrageous ($10-$12) but as more than one reviewer has said, you're in Hawaii, food and drinks cost, so either accept and fork it over, fork it over and get cranky (a waste of your happy vacation energy), or prepare to leave the hotel to seek out other more affordable dining/drinking options.
