4. CHECKIN: Very professional - great service and hospitality from the car hops to the bell hopsROOM: we had a small suite - which had a double balcony - one directly facing ocean and the other along side of hotel facing Diamond Head; well spaced and furnished space - 2 bathrooms so this made getting in/out in the am & pm much easier - room was spotless and very hawaiianPOOL: barely there, much too small given size of hotel - hard to get chairs and you know what that leads to - + one night we were there the pool was closed off to guests because a private party was being held there - not cool when you are paying those prices - and the lower pool deck gets cleared of lounge chairs PROMPTLY arnd 5pm to turnover for outside tables for DUKES - so something to be aware ofBEACH: Narrow beach but very nice layout - sandy bottom makes getting into/out of water very easy; easy access to all hotel facilities as you need them throughout the day - great views of Diamond Head and surfer watchingFOOD: has multiple good spots to eat - DUKES, CHUCKS, HULA Grill - anyone of them is good - great breakfast buffet available every morning - be prepared to wait for a table depending on what time you want to eat - Seattle Coffee shop in street lobby and convenience store on siteLOCATION: probably one of the best on Wakiki - close to Royal Hawaiian - close to main shopping drag - right across the street from International Market - and yes there is an ABC store right across the street .
