1. Should you be lucky enough to book a room on the opposite side of the Outrigger, you'll have the pleasure of smelling the garbage from the adjacent Royal Hawaiian, which uses the alleyway between for their dumpsters.

We were givien a room on the first floor where you could only see the ocean if you stood on the balcony which was fine, except for the fact that we were one floor up from the roof of the hotel and there was a large industrial fan thing right outside of our room making it impossible for us to stand on the balcony because of the noise, smell and hot air coming from the thing.
