1. As with all historic hotels though, there were a few downsides: Internet service was very spotty, there was no digital thermostat in the room (only a little lever, so it took some trial and error to get the temperature right), and the water in the shower didn't get as hot as I would have liked.

2. The downside of this is that parking is very expensive ($25 to self park, $30 for valet).
