One of the guys at the front, Dennis, was local and knew all the best places for best and cheap
food
, if you stay at OTA, find him and ask him where to go he will put you straight and you won't regret it.

Plenty of good quality pre prepared
food
delis, fruit/vegetable marts and an iconic 60's diner called Big Nicks Joint across on the other side of Broadway (took a couple of visits for a simple snack to convince my wife about Big Nicks but it was a lot of fun ).

The area is a tranquil spot away from the manic streets around Times Sq , with excellent diner choices ( I recommend Cafe Vendre for breakfast , good
food
at a reasonable price witihn a typical New York Diner setting).
