1. There is Shuttle to Times Square every 5 min, and a nice subway line going down-town and up-town on lexington Av.

3. Grand Central is a sight to see, plus it holds great dining options, and the hotel sits on top of 2 major subway lines plus a shuttle train to Times Square (perfect for avoiding the cab pandemonium in the Square at night).

4. Apparently a cab to Laguardia is $20 from Grand Central and the shuttle we took with the New York Express Shuttle Bus cost us $12 a person one way.

6. GST has a 3 minute shuttle to Times Square that works out nicely since that is where you can pick up many of the city tours.

7. The location was wonderful as my sister/niece were able to take the train directly to the station from Boston, and I was able to get a shuttle directly from Laguardia airport for $21 round trip with my daughter free [--].

8. The Airport Express shuttle bus leaves you practically at the Grand Hyatt's doorstep, and that in itself is a tremendous asset.
