1. ' The hotel staff we encounered were all friendly and accomodating: from the people at the reception desk, to the concierge who recommended a restaurant and made reservations for us, to the lovely woman who cleaned our room each morning.

2. All in all would go back to this hotel - had a drink in the bar one night and it was VERY dark in there - but found that in NYC generally - the restaurants etc are all quite dimly lit - took us a while to adjust our eyes.

8. All in all though the hotel is fantastic, 5 blocks away from Times Square with plenty of bars, restaurants on your doorstep along with plenty of shops .

We didnt eat in the hotel there was no need, Grand Central Terminal is literally next door and has an amazing food market and lots of great restaurants (mexican, pizza, oyster bar, sandwhiches, bakery etc) , we got bagels and coffee there most mornings and also can recommend Hale and Hearty soups which warmed us up after a chilly day exploring.

10. Another great restaurant worth making a trip for was Blue Smoke (27th st) with amazing burgers and ribs and the kids got to decorate their own cookies which were bakes while we ate, the food was delicious.
