6. This hotel is almost identical to the Ritz Carlton in Maui (it used to be one) but the location is better as there is less wind, hotel is closer to the ocean and in the Maui hotel the ocean is usually too rough to go in.

8. The location is simply the best in terms of staying in the Kona area with a number of restaurants and even a grocery store near by.

9. We stayed away from the fancy dinners and either ate at the tiki place or drove out to other locations at night went to a luau at Kona Village and a great place called Merrimans.
