1. Upon arrival, we were given kukui nut leis, and check-in at the front desk was a breeze.

2. Still very acceptable and nicely appointed bathroom with double sinks, lots of marble, separate shower etc. Service level was very high - concierge/check in etc was very smooth and professional - no real negatives to speak of.

3. The valets were also super nice- always offering us free waters every time we walked by or got our car, remembering our names and saying hi, checking on whether we were enjoying our stay, as did the concierge and the bellman who helped us check in.

4. We were just hoping for a room to store our luggage until check in time but to our delight, not only we were offered an early check in but we were offered a free upgrade from a garden view to ocean view room.

5. While we there they had a huge conference check in and they never skipped a beat.

7. We arrived and experienced an easy check-in, and they made notes in their system about us - for example, the fact that I booked with my maiden name, so they made note of my married one.

8. My husband and I signed up for the Fairmont Loyalty Program (President's Club), before we arrived and checked in fairly quickly due to the dedicated check in desk for President's Club members.
