7. We watched wales breach right in front of us as we ate dinner at the beachfront restaurant, if there wasn't so many things we wanted to see on the island we would of been happy to stay put for the whole week.

8. When we took a day trip around the island to see the sights, we had planned to have dinner in Kailua-Kona, but it was so below the Fairmont that we could not do it, and rushed back to have another gorgeous oceanfront, sunset dinner at Hale Kai.

9. Also, I complained to the front desk manager, and he offered us 2 complimentary drinks, which was a nice gesture (although I was hoping for a free Brown's dinner).

10. The concierge was very helpful, and helped us arrange tickets to the Gathering of the Kings Luau- an excellent dinner and show of south pacific dance.
