4. The location was superb with so many great locales (Chinatown, the Embarcadero area, and Union Square) within walking distance (though there is a significant uphill walk back to the hotel from nearly every direction).

We didn't know from day to day how much longer we would need our room (we were originally going to stay two nights it ended up being over a week) The staff was terrific, the managers were extremely accommodating and patient with our circumstances, I want to especially point out the help of Myra at the front desk, she was superb in her customer service and her work should make Marriott very proud.
