The other thing I would
like
to pre-warn you of is that upon check-in we were informed that, in addition to the cost of the two rooms, $500 per room would be held on our credit/debit card for the duration of our stay to cover incidentals.

My request for a room with two queen beds was honored and the room was large and big enough as you don't want to spend too much time in it in a city
like
San Francisco.

I
like
the small size of this hotel which means it seems more exclusive and less busy, busy inside and outside.

The tub and toilet are in a separate area off the main bathroom but I didn't
like
the louvered door separating the sink and closet area with the main room.

Oddly it did not feel
like
it had a lobby - friends explained it was an apartment building at some point in the past, then convetred to a hotel.

It's also Chinatown close, if you can handle the steep walk (we
like
to walk down to dinner, cab back as our midwestern girl is not a hill hiker).
