1. Breakfast was quite good although there are numerous, fabulous restaurants every where you turn so I'd recommend dining out.

5. The cable cars are on this side of the hotel, and while this is a fabulous tourist attraction- it is not as desireable when you are trying to sleep.

8. Our room on the 7th floor, located on the Powell Street side, had a fabulous view of the Bay to the left, the Transamerica Pyramid to center, and the Pacific Ocean to the right.

The hotel is actually a landmark building, that was renovated a few years ago, and has the most fabulous marriage of old-wold beauty (check out the stained glass rotunda in the courtyard) and modern updates (swoon over the green onyx check-in desk, and the eye-candy glass sculptures on the wall behind it.
