I hate to mention this, because the staff at the hotel is always genuinely friendly, but we had an unacceptable disappointment, probably more a reflection of how rude/selfish/poorly educated our society is becoming, and the fact that the hotel has a pet friendly policy (I was told the Villas section where we stayed is off limits to pets, but once you are 'pet friendly', all bets are off).

8. The 2 main reasons to stay here are to get the fast pass and to be on site wi the boat ride into the parks - we went from this hotel to one on Lake Buena Vista (Hilton Grand Soliel) we had a nicer room ( 2 bedroom suite) free parking, free wifi and it was about half the price of Portofino - I think next time I'm going to stay at the Hilton and buy an express pass to the Universal parks, as lovely as the Portofino is, I just hate that feeling of being held captive and fleeced.
