On the downside, the parking is expensive (we paid $43 overnight) which seems a tad high even by DC standards (although anyone thinking of using a cheaper garage would be well advised to check whether the rate includes taking the car out and whether the valet parkers there will retrieve items from the car for you - at the Westin the answer is yes on both counts).

2. The only downside was the unpleasant (unhygienic) young lady working at Starbucks in the hotel lobby, after taking a bite from the muffin I purchased I told her it was stale, she proceeded to put it back in the case to sell to another customer.

3. One of the downsides of frequent travel is that eventually you only notice what is broken and in this hotel, nothing was.

4. The only downside to this hotel is its a 20 minute taxi ride to the Great Mall and capital etc.

5. downsides, this is a business hotel so it is not family friendly and it is in a business area of DC, so there is not much going on after 5:00 or so.
