1. The only downside I can see is that if you like walking, and want to walk to places like union square, you had better be fit and not carrying too mch because it is quite a steep grade to get to the hotel from those places.

4. We stayed in San Francisco for 3 days which was enough for us - did the usual tourist trips which was great fun - on the downside we found many of the locals quite rude and abrupt when dealing with tourists which was a little shocking.

5. The only downside is that everything is a little pricey given that it's an Intercontinental hotel (however we got a promotional price for the stay, so that was great.
