However, the
noise
didn't disturn our sleep.

Even though we were on the 2nd floor
noise
was not an issue with ear-plugs.

There was 'city
noise
' to be heard even on the 14th floor (especially on the weekend nights) but that was expected and probably more noticeable to us because we did keep the windows open.

The constant
noise
outside our room wasn't what caused me not to sleep though - the rock hard mattress was much worse.

Our room was on the front side of the hotel, so we did hear some street/cable car
noise
in the mornings.

Great for getting up and down the hill but the
noise
of the trams and the traffic in general was very loud - the windows are an old design and therefore don't really keep the
noise
out especially on the 6th floor where we were.

The only issue was loud
noise
s coming from what seemed to be the building's plumbing.

If you are unlucky enough to be next to some inconsiderate neighbors, you may be surprised at how much
noise
gets through to your room.
