3. If you do choose to stay at the Mark Hopkins, then one other tip for you: We bought MUNI cards for the duration of our stay after being advised that they were the most economical way to use the cable car to avoid having to walk up and down the steep hills in the area.

9. WHILE THE LOCATION WAS VERY GOOD OUT 2 MAJOR COMPLAINTS WHERE THAT OF THE 3 ROOMS WE HAD EACH ONE HAD PAPER THIN WALLS, WE HAD BEEN MOVING TO AVOID NOISE WE COULD NOT GET AWAY FROM IT AT THIS HOTEL.

10. The only reason I would recommend this hotel would be for out of town visitors who want some views and don`t know which parts of the City to avoid (we do have our problem areas).
