1. The CONs: The decor was old, tired and dirty.

5. 5min walk to Bart / Cable car station (Powel) You do not need a car if you stay in the city (parking is possible but expensive) - use 7 day pass for MUNI (26$) if you stay longer; the room was clean, comfortable bed; unfortunately curtain was dirty and damaged which is not necessary in this type of hotel; TV an HiFi was good quality (they even provide two Cds of music for CD player); room bar fridge well equipped but again too expensive; better buy outside and ask housekeeping to empty fridge (see other comments).

7. The room we were showed to had light colored carpeting which was extensively stained, the lamp shades were dirty and stained, and the furniture was all banged up.

10. Also - as stated above - the dishes were very, very dirty - I do not believe they went through a washer from the previous tenant.
