1. A note for those new to the city, San Francisco is a fairly large city, and there is city noise, you have to expect that.

8. Being on the 8th floor you do get a bit of traffic noise and in the day, the taxi whistle of the doorman at the Hilton can carry.

9. At the time, I was afraid that the noise level would be a problem (based on other reviews), but we had no problems sleeping, but that could also be related to how high we were (11th floor).
