1. Sometimes it is hard to get your room cleaned - if you have the do not disturb sign up in the mornings and then go out in the afternoons, housekeeping may have already been in your part of the hall and will not come back and check - they will call your room and leave a message, which you will not receive if you are not in the room.

2. You get a little bit of noise from the el, even on the 19th floor where I stayed, but it is not loud enough to disturb you unless you are a really light sleeper.

3. There was noise from the nearby El, even on the 18th floor, but not enough to disturb me (I sleep with ear plugs - other travelers might be more sensitive).
