The hotel itself is still super chic and comfortable - I LOVE the mattress, seriously wish I had purchased one of them instead of the new overly
expensive
mattress we recently bought.

My pet peaves were all addressed here: plenty of big white towels in the bathroom (not the standard kimpton 2), complimentary wifi (for any hotel more
expensive
than $100/night, it should always be free), friendly front desk staff.

Unfortunately I left an
expensive
fountain pen in the room and after multiple attempts to notify the hotel's lost and found department (as well as the hotel manager) I never received a return phone call.

They moved us from our
expensive
suite overlooking some graffiti on the 8th floor after 2 nights and placed us on a 15th floor Suite.

The Suites are badly designed ( bathrooms being located in the middle of the suites thus breaking up the flow of the rooms, making them feel dark, cramped and pokey ) and feel smaller than the ( less
expensive
.

The mini bar (fridge) is extremely well-stocked but we didn't use any of the
expensive
