6. curtains were hanging off the rail and the furniture is very tired (badly marked tables with scuffed edges and faded lampshades) some of the lights in the room were also not working as were two of the tv channels (choice of tv was also poor- no BBC/CNN)The so called trendy bar and club were far from that, a group of us went to the extremely small club on the saturday night and a small number of highly unglamourous people were in attendance - atmosphere was completely dead.

7. Very hot in New York in summer and hotel is glass, good for view bad for sleep because aircon breaks and heats up rooms.

8. The front door staff are really good and helpful but once you have to deal with the desk staff it is trouble, they are bad communicators, do not tell you what hotel has.
